LAUNCHING FALL 2024
LAUNCHING FALL 2024
I grew up in New York and moved to California in the 1990s to complete my Internal Medicine residency at UCSF. Over the next five years I practiced in primary care, urgent care, and travel medicine before focusing on Hospital Medicine.
For nearly 20 years, I've lived and practiced in Marin, building strong relationships with fellow physicians to provide comprehensive patient care. I’ve held leadership roles including Hospitalist Medical Director, and served as Chief of Staff at MarinHealth during the pandemic (2020-2021). These roles enabled me to lead initiatives that improved healthcare quality and patient safety at our medical center, benefiting local residents. Serving our vibrant community and connecting with so many wonderful families over the years has been a privilege.
The pandemic was a challenging time for all in healthcare and prompted reflection on my career direction. Patients often asked if I had a practice outside the hospital – a compliment that meant I had earned their trust. In 2024, I decided to return to primary care, where I could apply everything I’ve learned—about the body, its systems, and managing complex illness—to help my patients improve their health, maintain wellness, and lead fuller lives.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children, juggling our busy schedule of team sports and activities. We also love playing cards, backgammon, and pickleball, enjoying the beach, and skiing in the winter. One of my favorite hobbies is photography, and all the landscape and nature photos you see on this website were taken with my Fujifilm camera. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
